Green campaigners in the UK are trying to stop construction of a third runway at London’s Heathrow airport because its use would allow more air travel and CO2 emissions. Meanwhile in the real-world, China plans to add another 200 airports. Likewise, Xcel Energy and Duke Energy plan to shut down their two dozen or so coal plants, while the rest of the world builds 1,200 new ones. Anti-CO2 madness must end.

China building coal here, there, everywhere
“A quarter of coal plants in the planning stage or under construction outside China are backed by Chinese state-owned financial institutions and corporations, according to research by IEEFA, an energy finance think-tank based in Cleveland, Ohio. Remove India from the picture, and the share of coal development supported by China rises to above a third.” What do US utilities imagine they are accomplishing?
China’s monopoly on rare earths make it the new OPEC
It took us 40 years to break OPEC’s death grip on our oil supply. We saved ourselves in part by building more coal plants to reduce oil-burning for electricity. Now wind/solar advocates and rentseekers want to give that power to Communist China. We say: Burn more coal!
China: Coal is ‘national policy, and no one can resist it’
Is Communist China-funding US enviro groups to destroy the coal industry?
Congress is investigating payments by China to US environmental groups for the purpose of sabotaging America from within. Today’s Associated Press story is primarily about national defense. But Congress is also investigating payments to these groups on energy and environment issues. We won’t be surprised to learn that Communist China is funding these groups to wreak havoc on America’s power grid by trying to destroy the coal industry.
China building new coal plants equal to entire US capacity
Anti-coal activists report that China is currently building coal plants with a capacity of 259 GW — the capacity of the entire current US coal fleet. If built, China’s coal burning capacity will be almost 4 times that of the US — with no end in sight to China’s growing coal capacity. The report’s main findings are below.
