CO2 tax

New York Times explains why climate is an elitist cause the poor will never sign up for

The CO2 tax on fuel that set off the yellow jacket protests was regressive — i.e., the poorer you are the worse it would be. One of BURN MORE COAL’s tasks to educate US ratepayers and taxpayers about the regressive and punitive nature of the CO2 tax US utilities are voluntarily and stealthily putting on electricity use.

The Global Carbon Tax Revolt

“A carbon tax is in theory a more efficient way than regulation to reduce carbon emissions. Does President Trump have a yellow vest?

A yellow vest (gilet jaune) is the symbol of the carbon tax uprising that seems to be defeating French President Macron’s plans for a carbon tax. Paris burns again in protest of the carbon tax

President Macron shows the stubborn face of the anti-CO2 agenda and the consequences of government imposition of higher costs for energy in the pointless context of an attempt to eliminate fossil fuels. US electric utilities anticipate a carbon tax will eventually be imposed in the US and so they believe they are immunizing themselves by getting out of coal as soon as possible. BURN MORE COAL is fighting against both.

We had to fix this for the carbon tax-loving Fake News media

As the AP article eventually acknowledges: “Macron has so far held strong and insisted the fuel tax rises are a necessary pain to reduce France’s dependence on fossil fuels and fund renewable energy investments — a cornerstone of his reforms of the nation.” US utilities are banking on carbon taxes coming to the US to justify shuttering coal plants. BURN MORE COAL is on the case. Support our efforts!
