The late-Senator Everett Dirksen (R-Ill.), a true populist, had a famous federal budget quote attributed to him: “A billion, here, and a billion there, pretty soon you’r talking about real money”. The sack cloth-and-ashes set in the politically-driven UN science kleptocracy is the 21st century version of this sentiment. The trillions they want is real money.
